This is a Mahjong game following the Japanese style rules. In Mahjong, the objective is to complete four Melds and one Pair combination.

For example: [1, 2, 3][6, 6, 6][6, 7, 8][N, N, N][4, 4]

It's important to note that certain hands are not valid with Chi, Pon, and Open Kan. Pay attention to the possibility of a hand when using tiles 1 and 9 in Chi and Pon combinations. In Japanese Mahjong rules, one or more specific winning hands are required.

A winning hand can be achieved by paying the cost of 1,000 points and declaring "Reach." However, reaching is not permitted if Chi, Pon, and Open Kan actions have been taken. Higher points are awarded for achieving a closed hand.

Additionally, let’s understand the concept of a Lost Hand - a hand that is waiting to win but cannot claim victory from another player's discard because the owner has already discarded a winning tile themselves.

A Lost Hand occurs even if the desired tile is not discarded as long as all possible winning tiles are in the player's hand. However, drawing a winning tile from the tile wall is still allowed even in a Lost Hand situation. It's important to remember that one cannot win through Ron (a win from another player's discard) when holding a Lost Hand.

The key strategy lies in never winning through Ron with a tile just discarded by another player. Winning in Mahjong usually involves identifying and completing specific hands in response to others' discards.
